ZERO-G ASSEMBLY LINES: THE RISE OF IN-SPACE MANUFACTURING

Imagine a future where astronauts can 3D print spare parts on demand, build entire habitats using lunar soil, and construct massive solar arrays directly in space. This is the transformative promise of In-Space Manufacturing (ISM). As we push the boundaries of human space exploration, ISM emerges as a game-changer, addressing the challenges of long-duration missions, robust infrastructure needs, and high-efficiency power generation. This paper argues that the strategic development and application of ISM technologies will revolutionize human spaceflight by enabling unprecedented design freedom, operational flexibility, and sustainability in space.
